The Kimbrough 4:00

What was once one of the largest R/C Oval Races on the West Coast is coming back. Joe Myers, the owner/promoter of the long running South-West Tour R/C Series, has decided it's time to bring back this event, and return it to the city where it began for it's 20th anniversary on Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 2-4, 2011)

Originally set at Bakersfield California's "Racers Haven Raceway" back in 1991, before moving for several years to Western R/C in Las Vegas NV, then to the Boulder R/C Speedway in Boulder City NV where the event faded away after the 2004 event.

The NEW location for this event will be at the newly rennovated concrete "Bull Ring" in Bakersfield CA, now known as Papa Lou's A-Main Raceway.

This event will allow ALL ROAR approved Motors and Batteries, and ROAR membership will be required, and available at the event.

1/10th Scale Racing

For those not familiar with R/C (Radio Control) car racing. This event, the KIMBROUGH 4:00 is a 1/10th Scale radio controlled scale model car racing event. The cars are lightweight, electric (battery powered) race cars that can run speeds ranging from 20 to 65 mph on different types and size track layouts.

Most 1/10th scale R/C cars run on either a single 3.7 volt, or a single 7.4 volt Lithium/Polymer (Li-Po) battery, and a 540 series "Brushless" electric motor.

KIMBROUGH RACING PRODUCTS makes products for these cars, including the Gears used to get the motor power to the tires.
